Trigger warning: Shittons of transphobia hate and swearing. This one is angry, and mostly from a trans fem POV. I feel like I have earned this anger. Perhaps the next "Hard Part of Transitioning" essay will be less bitter.

Introduction

Next week will mark twenty-two months that I have been medically transitioning via feminizing hormone replacement therapy (HRT). I wrote an account of the harder parts of HRT a few months ago. At that time I wrote:

And of course the more you feel better, the more the cisgender people around you will show you that they feel worse. But that will be a different essay.

It is now time for that essay.
